About this product
Kendil pot of polystone from Indonesia, 50 cm high: the bulbous body has horizontal grooves around the shoulder and passes into a narrow neck. The neck has a ring and ends in a rim that flares outwards. Grey-brown dominates, with dark patches and light streaks. Below the middle the body curves in towards a narrow base. Handmade from polystone (resin, stone powder and cement) and coloured by hand; colour, texture and size vary per piece. Not waterproof: use indoors with an inner pot. Outdoors, polystone weathers and the pot can lose colour: treat it with an impregnating sealer so that water runs off the pot instead of soaking into the material; the colour becomes slightly darker as a result.
