About this product
Reclaimed teak hippo from Indonesia with a ribbed surface of small, curved wood pieces; the 160 cm long animal stands with its mouth gaping open. Two long teeth hang from the top of the mouth, with shorter ones below. Body, head and legs are carved by hand from solid teak from old tree stumps, left untreated. The warm light-brown wood shows dark lines where the pieces meet.
