About this product
Moon sculpture of light grey, speckled polystone from Indonesia, 55 cm long: a low head with bulging eyes that look upward, above a smile. Thick lids lie over the eyes, and wrinkles fan out beside them. The nose reaches down to just above the mouth. At the top, the head is smooth and rounded. Handmade from polystone (resin, stone powder and cement) and coloured by hand; colour, texture and size vary per piece. Outdoors, polystone weathers and the piece can lose colour: treat it with an impregnating sealer so that water runs off instead of soaking into the material; the colour becomes slightly darker as a result.
